K-Bot - Founder's Edition with Developer Kit

Founder's Edition

The Founder's Edition is the first robot we are making available as a limited public alpha release. If you buy one and contribute 250 hours of data to our open-source project, we will give you a voucher to freely trade-in your robot for our next generation robot.

Developer Kit

Unlike other humanoid robot companies, we want to be as transparent as possible about our robot's capabilities, and we encourage contributions from developers who are interested in working with us to build the next generation of real-world AI applications.

To that end, any capabilities you see on one K-Bot will be available on every K-Bot of the same generation - we will never advertise software capabilities that require you to pay extra after you've already bought the robot. Indeed, we will ship OTA updates to each robot to ensure that it keeps getting smarter the longer you own it.

However, there may be hardware differences between your robot and other peoples' robots - this is by design. We encourage K-Bot owners to experiment with hardware accessories, such as different end effectors, sensors, and compute modules, and we strongly encourage interoperability between different components.

This is our alpha product release, and it is very likely to change between your initial pre-order and final delivery. We expect these changes to be positive, not negative, but if you would like to help make sure these changes are to your liking, we encourage you to contribute to open-source community.
